Therefore we need an: investigative and discerning Investment Manager / Underwriter location: Amsterdam Office to be responsible for financial analysis and modelling of potential real estate acquisitions and developments, to underwrite the various transactions, to prepare the related offering memorandums and to interact within an (inter)national team framework to execute transactions.
In this important and challenging role, the Investment Manager / Underwriter will be heavily involved in the acquisition and development of primarily housing for students and young professional in the Netherlands. Completes initial opportunity evaluation and analysis.
Performs property and market level due diligence.
Performs and oversees complex financial analyses and modelling with minimal supervision, including real estate cash flow projections and implementing applicable, complex tax rules.
Analyses financials, including evaluating projections and modelling returns.
Drafts Screening Memorandums, analysis and group deliverables that guide the decision making process and provide actionable strategic recommendations.
Prepares for pitches and for presentations, both at internal and external meetings.
Gathers and evaluate economic, demographic and real estate market data to perform market analysis.
At least bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, preferably in Corporate Finance, Real Estate, Economics, Geography
Approximately 3-5 years’ of relevant work experience in a corporate finance and/or real estate business environment with a strong understanding of financial concepts such as IRR and NPV.
Must possess strong analytical mindset, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills (Dutch and English).
Demonstrated proficiency in Excel and Powerpoint and technical expertise with complex financial modelling.
A strong business sense and the ability to operate within a dynamic, rapidly-changing environment. Flexible attitude to work.
